Tornado™ Technologies, Inc. has designed and engineered the Ammonia Venting Flare, or AVF. This system is designed to thermally destroy toxic ammonia vapors that can be released at fertilizer plants, fertilizer transportation terminals, rail terminals, storage terminals and pressure relief vents on large commercial air conditioning systems. Tornado™ Technologies incorporates a gas assist burner ring that assures a very stable, high BTY flame envelope that the low BTU ammonia vapor must burn thru to complete its combustion process. This intense flame is shielded by an outer windshroud so that cross winds do not affect the burning flame. The gases are ignited by a TFS - #6 energy efficient pilot with flame monitoring, re-ignition, and alarm controls.
