OsecoElfab’s MV-RF Explosion Vents
OsecoElfab’s MV-RF explosion vent is an all metal design using a stainless steel controlling membrane (no fluoropolymer). No holes or slits are visible, which makes the MV-RF vent excellent for applications, such as bag houses or bulk storage units, where product build-up may be a concern. The vent may be exposed to system pressures up to 60% of the stamped burst pressure. The MV-RF is also available with FDA-approved gaskets for use in sanitary service applications.
The MV family offers an industry-leading performance tolerance of +/- 0.25 psig. Each vent features design characteristics that reduce the maintenance required while offering a longer service life. All vents meet the requirements of the OHSA Combustible Dust National Emphasis Program and NFPA 68. A 10-day lead time is available for common sizes of MV-RF, MV-CD and MV-RF through our MV vent stocking program.
- The MV-RF is available in sizes ranging from 8”x8” all the way up to 44”x69”.
- The MV-RF is available in set pressures ranging from 0.2 psig up to 10 psig.
- At set pressures at or below 2 psig, the MV-RF has a standard set pressure tolerance of +/- 0.25 psig.
- At set pressures above 2 psig, the MV-RF has a standard set pressure tolerance of +/- 0.5 psig.
- The MV-RF is rated for temperatures ranging from -20 degrees F all the way up to 150 degrees F.
- The MV-RF has a 60% operating ratio, meaning the MV-RF operates reliably and with a long service life at pressures up to 60% of the marked burst pressure. Pressure excursions above this 60% operating ratio will shorten the lifespan of the MV-RF.
- The MV-RF is available with a 1-year warranty as a standard.
- The MV-RF is available in all OE standard materials (316 Stainless Steel, Nickel 200, Inconel 600, Monel 400, and Hastelloy C 276). Other materials may be available or offered on request.
- The MV-RF utilizes a hinged opening design, ensuring it remains non-fragmenting.
- The MV-RF is capable of withstanding partial vacuum, at pressures down to -10 psig to -12 psig.
- The MV-RF is designed to meet all NFPA 61 and NFPA 68 requirements for explosion vents.
- The MV-RF can be paired with the SVT-03 sensor, to allow for remote monitoring of vent activation.
